About me

Hi! I'm Christina. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist in 2003. I was drawn to the field of speech pathology because of my love of language, literacy, and science. I have always been fascinated by the complexities of the brain, and the many different ways that people communicate. I have found it so rewarding to work one-on-one with people from many different backgrounds and help them communicate confidently. During my career, I have worked in a variety of settings, including acute hospitals, post-acute rehab centers, early intervention centers, home health, schools, autism diagnosis teams, outpatient clinics, and telehealth. I have provided speech therapy services for an organization in Ireland for people with disabilities, and for orphanages in Mexico. I would describe my therapy style as client-centered and holistic. I love to help my clients achieve the goals that are important to them. I also have a background and training as a yoga and meditation instructor, and this has influenced my therapy style, by teaching me how interconnected our communication skills are with our mental, physical, and emotional well-being. As a result, I love incorporating breathwork and mindfulness into my sessions.

Very kind and patient. She understood that our toddler wasn’t interested in interacting with an iPad and gave us more hands on activities to spark language
